News CAMCO for Siegen's Apollo Theatre
January 2008 - North-Rhine Westphalia has an important new theatre - the 580-seat Apollo Theatre in Siegen has taken two years to build at a cost of around _12.8 million, but local theatre-lovers now enjoy a theatre with exceptional acoustics.

The original specification had included a sound system that sadly fell far short of the standard required for musical performances and concerts. But, thanks to an anonymous _50,000 donation, the theatre team have been able to commission a new audio installation better suited to the venue.

The new system uses CAMCO Vortex 6 and 2.6 amplifier models to power an almost invisible line array system, installed by local company TRENDCO which had already worked hand in hand with CAMCO on a number of projects including the sound reinforcement system in Siegen's Siegerlandhalle.

The system is centrally monitored by the CAMCO CISUS remote control program which enables easy control of delay times or array EQˇfrom the control room by mouse click. Even the loudspeakers' status can be monitored by the CAMCO Vortex amplifier's impedance indication in CISUS.
