July 2008 - One of Israel's largest PA providers has chosen CAMCO to power its move into bigger and better production. Sincopa,
which is based in the Northern Negev, has invested in a substantial line-array system with EtherSound network capability and
Sincopa has been established since 1992, but is taking a big step forward this year with the acquisition of new line-array
technology and 16x CAMCO Vortex 6. It is a system intended to appeal to Israel's biggest promoters, especially in rock music
circles. According to Asaf Tzur from A.B. Noam Electronics which supplied the CAMCO amplifiers, "already there's a huge buzz
about the system, and Sincopa is taking a lot of bookings. Artists, engineers - everyone wants to try it."
First use of the Vortex amps was at a massive outdoor concert to mark Jerusalem Day celebrations. Attended by more than 10,000
people, the show was a great success for Sincopa and its new technology. Staged in Jerusalem's Independence Park (Gan
Ha'atzmaut), the city's celebration was combined with Hebrew University's action-packed Student Day, and started with an
all-nighter or "laila lavan". Festivities included a huge concert featuring many of Israel's A-list rock acts, such as Berry
Sakharof, Hadag Nachash, Hacheverim Shel Natasha and Shlomi Shaban.
