News CAMCO POWER FOR HIGH POINT SERVICES IN DALLAS
June 2004 - Nashville-based sound and lighting system design-build contractors Maxx Technology has completed the installation of a ground breaking sound reinforcement system for High Point Church in their new 400,000 sq. ft. building in Dallas. The system features radical new audio technologies from CAMCO and NEXO, used in a configuration never seen before in the USA.

High Point Church has relocated its ministries to a new church building, created from an old Johnson & Johnson warehouse on a 100-acre site and renovated to include the sanctuary, numerous ministry rooms, and a mall area. In High Point services, music plays a central role, with a full-on presentation from a band, brass section and choir. Maxx Technology was asked to design a sound system for use in the main worship center, a very long room with a low ceiling, which presented an interesting acoustic challenge for Maxx Technology designers Mark Sepulveda and Dave Cheramie.

The main system is a combination of the two tangent-array loudspeaker designs from NEXO. At front-of-house, there are L, C and R clusters of GEO T, and 120 feet out from the stage, there are three clusters of GEO S acting as a frequency compensation delay system. The system is entirely powered by CAMCO Vortex 6 amplifiers, made in Germany. ''These came on Nexo's recommendation and we are extremely pleased with their performance. They are really great sounding amplifiers, and offer input sensitivity matching on input which is an important feature.''
